What we collect

When an adult creates an account, we collect their name, email address and account details. We keep credit balances, purchases and access to paid resources. For student logins, we keep the display name entered by the adult, login-card details, and saved lesson work, including names and dates entered in activities.

How we use it

We use this information to run accounts, save learners’ work, provide purchased resources, handle payments and help with account enquiries. The adult who sets up a student login can see that student’s saved work. Student work is not published as part of the website.

Payments and storage

Stripe processes payments and sends payment receipts. iRoomHub does not store card numbers. Google Firebase provides sign-in, account storage, saved work and protected file delivery. These providers may process information outside New Zealand. Session cookies keep you signed in, and browser storage helps keep lesson drafts while a connection is unavailable.

Student information

Adults are responsible for having the school’s or family’s permission to create student logins. First names or nicknames are enough. Please avoid entering medical records or other information that is not needed for a lesson.

Access, correction and deletion

Contact us if you want to see, correct or request deletion of information held about you or a student you are responsible for. We may need to confirm your identity first. Information is kept while it is needed to provide the account and learning services; payment and security records may need to be retained after an account closes.
